We celebrated the Class of 2025 with big hugs, happy tears, and genuine pride. After three years of learning, late nights, some arguing, and tremendous growth, our bachelor’s students crossed the stage—and into their futures.

From midnight bus pickups to bullet trains on zero sleep, our students kicked off their Japan journey in Kyoto—climbing ancient temple paths, exploring historic shrines, and discovering just how far they could push themselves. Tradition, resilience, and a whole lot of awe.

In preparation for our Japan trip, students joined Basel’s Konomi Festival—exploring Japanese aesthetics, contemporary art, and cultural depth through events like Kaspar Schumacher’s vernissage.

As part of their Accounting course, our students from The Basel School put theory into practice by running real businesses at a local flea market. This experience wasn’t just about selling products—it was about learning the language of business through real transactions, financial statements, and reflection. In a recent visit to SASSO San Gottardo, our students from The Basel School explored one of Switzerland’s most important military fortresses. This experience wasn’t just about history—it was about learning strategic lessons that apply to business today. SASSO’s intricate design, defensive capabilities, and logistical planning during WWII offer powerful insights into preparation, risk management, and resilience. Our undergraduate students organized a “Photo with Santa” event at Mathishof as part of their Project Management class, raising donations for the Stiftung für Krebskranke Kinder. They decorated the farm, set up the photo shoot, served gluhwein and hot chocolate, and even dressed as elves to advertise in the city. Despite bad weather, they expanded the event to a second day, showing real-world adaptability and teamwork through our Practical Experiential Learning ™ model.

Students from The Basel School of Business recently embarked on an enlightening journey to Tropenhaus Frutigen, a sustainable farming and energy facility in Switzerland. The visit provided a firsthand glimpse into how modern technology and traditional farming practices can harmoniously coexist. The students delved into the world of sustainable agriculture, geothermal energy, and innovative energy capture from wastewater. The excursion shed light on how these green strategies not only reduce environmental impact but also boost profitability, offering invaluable insights for future business leaders in an era increasingly defined by sustainability.
